Angel Flight provides free airfare to families traveling for cancer treatments

Angel Flight connects patients with local pilots to provide free airfare for families to visit hospitals for cancer treatments and other visits. On Sunday, a Bentonville pilot, Eric Haskel, flew to the MD Anderson Cancer Center to take Judith Perez for tests and treatment. Perez had to postpone her treatments due to COVID-19. With the Angel Flight, Perez and her daughter were able to get to Houston easier, and in less time, versus driving. Angel Flight is a non-profit that helps people in need of free air transportation for medical and humanitarian purposes. Angel Flight arranges travel through a network of volunteer pilots for people who require specialized medical treatment not available to them locally. Organizers say the trips also benefit pilots, by providing them with more flight hours to help with their certifications.
